DOING IMTEZAJ
ASSALAM OALAIKUM
Doing imtezaj means to take one alphabet from the taalib’s (one who asks for an amal to be done) name and
the other alphabet from the matloob’s (the person on whom the amal is performed) name. For example if the
taalib is Mohammad and the matloob is Ali then in order to do the imtezaj of these names first of all the
alphabets should be separated as follows:
Meem, hay, meem, dal
Aen, laam and ye
Now the imtezaj of these two names will be: Meem, aen, hay, laam, meem, ye, dal
